Happy weekend! Hope you're enjoying this beautiful, sunny fall day. The temperature has dipped to a chilly 4 degrees Celsius this morning (that's 39 Fahrenheit), and it's got me excited about some beautiful winter clothing and accessories.
Nobis has a gorgeous line of mens and womens parkas that look sleek, urban, and warm. I really want their Luna parka, and I can't wait until mid November when the jackets will be arriving in stores locally. FAB, The Premium Denim Store, is supposed to carry the line.
Nobis makes super cute knitted hats and beanies, too.
I've also ordered a pair of the below Manitobah Mukluks. The company is Aboriginal-owned and all shoes are made in Canada. They have many gorgeous styles from ranging from tall to short boots. The soles, unlike other mukluks, can be made with a rubber, treaded vibram sole which makes them suitable for snow and ice. You can choose from a choice of faux fur, or rabbit, coyote or fox fur. I know some of you are going to disagree with the use of animal fur, but please do remember, historically the use of fur is part of Aboriginal culture. Gravity Pope sells Manitobah Mukluks, although their website didn't carry the half-wrap style shown here.
I couldn't help getting a tie-dyed scarf by Brightly Twisted from Hills of Kerrisdale (you can buy it online from Vionnet Boutique, pictured here). It's so warm and soft, and it's the perfect pairing to my white burn-out tee and skinny grey jeans.
Have you started stocking up for Winter yet? Tell me about your finds!

i love the scarf!
despite my general dislike for cold temperatures, i do find it a lot more fun to dress for fall than the sweltering temperatures of summer.
Those coats look super cozy. I bought some new tights, gloves and a Soia Kyo coat for this winter. It's supposed to be a cold one this year and I want to be bundled up and warm!
I've heard this winter is supposed to be positively frigid! So far, I've bought a comfy knit cardigan from UO and my roomie bought me a pair of wool fingerless gloves (with no thumbs for easy texting!)

Tell me what you love/hate about Being High Maintenance, not Bitchy & win a Normann Copenhagen vase from CSN!

Woah, I'm not usually one to like parkas so much but those are really nice! They don't look as puffy as some parkas can be! The winter chill that is ahead of us has been a lingering thought, but I really haven't done much to prepare. I'm thinking I need some gloves and a new coat!
I would love to wear a hat to keep the noggin' warm...but I think I look awful in hats. It's like trying to fit a head the shape of a basketball
Such cute picks!
I really love the Nobis jacket you posted. Wish I had seen that before I bought my TNA jacket!
i haven't bought anything for this winter but. . i love that tie-dyed scarf
I love that scarf, the colours are beautiful. And we can never have too many scarves in Vancouver esp when it gets all windy. I'm not looking forward to the cold winter :(
I do love cold, sunny days. Especially if it means bundling up all cozy.

I bought one of the Nobis parkas and it totally rocks. So stylish and very warm. I bought mine from a store in Toronto called wotever and had them ship it.
I bought the Tula in black- it's a slim fit with almost pea coat styling. Love it. Happy to have something other than
I got the Luna Nobis jacket! it's so warm and I'm going to wear it all the time this winter.
